Trans States Teammates: Captain Scott Granger

Manager of Safety Scott Granger and Director of Safety Matt Conrad

Captain Scott Granger has been the Trans States Manager of Safety since January of 2014, when he joined us from Comair.  Scott’s last day is tomorrow, when he will be leaving to pursue an opportunity closer to home. Director of Safety Matt Conrad had this to say about Scott’s time at Trans States:

Scott commutes from the West Coast, yet he is here every Monday morning ready to work. He leaves his family on Sunday morning to be here on time.  Yes, he chose to live there and commute here,  but we have never had one issue with Scott’s attendance, which I think is remarkable.

Scott has a great personality and a unique ability to effectively communicate with people and make friends fast. In the Safety business, networking means a lot.  Through his networking with folks at other carriers, he has received good tips on how we can improve our processes.

Additionally, Scott does a thorough job of looking at events and analyzing them for threats and hazards, which can help us change our processes and procedures to better manage risks.  Scott is very good at this, and during his time at Trans States, has made good decisions that have helped contribute to the safe operation of our airline.

A big thanks to Scott for a job well done.  Best of luck in your future endeavors!

thank you sky writing
